Since our POKE theme of the month is “Back to school” we prepared some great teenage boys' bedroom ideas to inspire you.

Creating a bedroom for a teenager is always a challenge for a parent. The most important thing to remember is that their bedroom is an expression of who they are. It is their temple, where they spend most of their time.

Regardless of size, a teen’s bedroom needs to be versatile enough for them to study, hang out with friends and sleep, all while reflecting their personality.

You want to give them the creative freedom to express themselves, but there are also practical considerations to take into account, such as functional study, display and storage space.

So as a parent you should definitely listen to your child and include him in the design process. But as we know, a teenager’s taste can change very quickly. Therefore, we suggest you to choose neutral, practical and timeless design when it comes to bigger pieces of furniture (closet, bed, desk). This creates a solid and functional base that is afterwards personalized by your teenagers choice of decor, lights, posters, bedding, wall colours, carpet,… This elements can be easily changed in the years to come.
